Summary
Samsung's instructions for sharing and receiving Auracast broadcasts on Galaxy phones, before and after the feature was renamed Audio broadcast.
Key findings
- Samsung renamed its Auracast feature Audio Broadcast from One UI 8.5; the earlier Auracast feature is described as supported on Galaxy devices running One UI 6.1 through One UI 8.0.
- When a phone shares a broadcast, a switch labelled "Allow hearing aids to connect" must be turned on for hearing aid users to listen. The page does not say what the switch changes.
- Listening is described through Galaxy Buds (Buds2 Pro and newer, including Buds4 Pro) or the Listen tab of Audio broadcast, where the user picks a stream from a list. Under One UI 6.1 to 8.0 the Buds must be connected to the Galaxy Wearable app.
- Broadcasts can be protected by a password, and the feature works only with Bluetooth LE Audio devices within Bluetooth range of the phone.
- The introduction names Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Buds4 Pro as receiving examples; the older broadcast-sharing instructions also name Buds3 Pro. A recommended-article excerpt on the same page says Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro can join broadcasts. The linked article itself was not needed for that excerpt. No earbud telecoil feature is documented.
Limits
An undated support page, read on 13 October 2026. It is written for sharing between a phone and earbuds; it does not list the phone models covered or describe joining a venue broadcast with hearing aids.
