Summary
How a public location registers its Auracast broadcast with the SIG, and the trademark licence that comes with it.
Key findings
- Asks that the broadcast be fully deployed and accessible before the location registers.
- Location staff, an affiliate or volunteer, or an installer with the location's approval can register; the form asks which transmitter product is installed.
- An accepted registration grants a royalty-free, revocable licence to use the Auracast trademarks only in connection with the registered location, which may be listed in a public database.
- The licence requires the location to keep a level of quality that meets or exceeds generally accepted industry standards for wireless audio broadcasting and any quality standards the SIG may set, and lets the SIG test, review or monitor the broadcast.
Limits
Program terms can change. The terms name no specific quality standard or measurement and supply no commissioning results for an individual venue. The page is undated; the archived HTML, including its registration-role options, was checked on 13 October 2026.
