Summary
Cochlear's two-page specification sheet for its off-the-ear Kanso 3 cochlear implant sound processor, including its Bluetooth, LE Audio and FM connections.
Key findings
- Lists the processor as "Ready for Bluetooth LE Audio – firmware updates required". A footnote says a firmware update will be needed to use certain features as LE Audio devices become available, and that Auracast capability "is subject to third party adoption of the Auracast protocol".
- Lists direct streaming from compatible Apple and Android devices, streaming from other Bluetooth devices through the Cochlear Wireless Phone Clip, and compatibility with Cochlear True Wireless accessories and the CR310 remote control.
- Gives FM access only "Via the Cochlear Wireless Mini Microphone 2+ with a three-pin Euro receiver".
- Its lists of key features and connectivity do not mention a telecoil.
Limits
A maker's specification sheet for its own product, dated by its print code (January 2025, copyright 2025). It states an intended LE Audio update without a date and reports no test. It does not say in so many words whether the processor has a telecoil; the absence is only from its feature lists.
