Summary
The SIG explains when a product’s qualification test plan requires a recognized test facility and distinguishes outside laboratories from a company’s own facility.
Key findings
- A Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility is recognized to execute Category A test cases at or below the Host Controller Interface as identified in the Test Case Reference List.
- When Qualification Workspace requires such a test, results must come from a Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility or the member company’s own Bluetooth Recognized Test Facility.
- A Bluetooth Recognized Test Facility may not act as an independent testing facility for other SIG member companies.
- The page lists testing facilities with their authorized testing scope and recognition expiry dates; those entries concern product testing facilities, rather than venue installation checks.
Limits
Undated public programme guidance and a changing directory, read on 13 October 2026. The introductory testing requirements were read; individual facility competence and directory entries were not audited.
