Bluetooth Core Specification 5.4: Version History and Acknowledgments; Core Specification Change History

  • Bluetooth SIG

Standards body (Bluetooth SIG, an industry association funded by its member companies, which owns the Auracast trademark)

Summary

The Core specification records the adoption date of version 5.2 and its addition of LE Isochronous Channels.

Key findings

  • Volume 0 Part C records Board adoption of Core 5.2 on 31 December 2019 and of Core 5.4 on 31 January 2023.
  • Volume 1 Part C, section 11.1, lists LE Isochronous Channels, Enhanced Attribute Protocol and LE Power Control as the major additions in Core 5.2.

Limits

Read the two public history sections, not the entire Core specification. The date identifies the 5.4 document containing the retrospective history. Core adoption alone does not establish Auracast support or a venue installation rule. The companion change-history page is archived with this record.
