Suggest a study, a correction or a question

If you know of evidence the library is missing, spot a mistake, or have a question that belongs on the tracker, use the form below.

Send a suggestion

What are you sending?

For a correction, name the page and the sentence and point to the source that shows it. For a study, say which question it bears on, and whether you wrote it, funded it or make products it mentions (that does not rule it out; it is labelled).

Messages are read by the editors and never published, and addresses are never shown on the site. How form data is handled

Suggest a study or source

Give a link to the original (a DOI, the publisher’s page or the document itself) and, if you can, which question it bears on. Studies, field and bench tests, standards, regulations, guidance and manufacturer documents are all considered, as long as the original can be read and checked. Say if you wrote it, funded it or make products it mentions: that does not rule it out, and it is labelled.

Report a correction

Name the page and the sentence, say what is wrong, and point to the source that shows it. A correction is made once it has been checked against the source, and it is noted with its date in the change log of the question concerned.

Propose a question

A good question is one people are deciding on now, where the published evidence is thin or disagrees. Say who it affects and any sources you know of.

How suggestions are handled

  • Every message is read. Nothing is published automatically: a suggestion changes the site only after it has been checked against the source.
  • A suggested source is added only after the original has been read, summarised in our own words, and labelled with who funded it.
  • Contributors’ own opinions are not published. Published opinions and makers’ claims are included only as attributed statements from an identifiable source, labelled, and marked when no method or test is given.
  • Messages are not published, and email addresses are never shown on the site.

Credit

If you would like credit, tick the box and give the name to use: the change-log entry for the question your suggestion changed will name you. Otherwise no one is named.
